Irina Trifu




Irina Trifu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures. She earned a Master’s degree in American Cultural Studies from the University of Bucharest in 2013, with an MA thesis entitled “Europe’s Frozen “Other.” Western Representations of the Balkans since Early 1970s”, which examines the dominant patterns of perception, by dissecting the various theories that have fueled the idea that the (mentally constructed) dichotomy East/West coincides with geographical realities. Her academic interests include Transatlantic Imagology, American Presidency, (Non)Visible Identities and Terrorism/Counterterrorism.
